The first blanket I made using Lion Brand’s Lemon Swirl Big Scoop Ice Cream Yarn. This one is made using Lion Brand’s Cotton Candy Big Scoop Ice Cream Yarn.

I really like the way that these variegated yarns look in the finished project.

Blanket #3 is still on my hooks and is about 2/3 of the way finished. I’m using a variegated baby yarn for it too…but the color changes are much more frequent. The effect is that the blanket is more of an all over variegation…more specks than stripes. I like it very much and would love to find more yarn like it in different color combinations.

One of the things that I hope my blog posts do is inspire others to create and donate. Creating beauty and joy is a pleasure…even more so when we share the joy. If this post inspires you to make something I’d love to hear about it.

I’m including a list of organizations that welcome donations of blankets (large and small) below for those who might be inspired to make and donate but who may not have found an organization to donate through.
