New Finish! – Crochet Baby Blanket

crochet baby blanket

I finished this pink, lavender, gray, and white crochet baby blanket quite some time ago. I put it away waiting for winter to send it to the visiting nurses that visit new moms on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

I finished this pink, lavender, gray, and white crochet baby blanket quite some time ago. I put it away waiting for winter to send it to the visiting nurses that visit new moms on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

I’m a member of the Sew For Kids group on Facebook and send all of my donations for the Pine Ridge area to the organizations supported by that group. The group welcomes new members so if you knit, crochet, sew, quilt, loom knit, or just enjoy shopping the sales racks for items to donate to those in need the group would welcome you.

This blanket is about as simple as they come. It’s made of single crochet, except for the edging which is easy enough to be done while watching TV or riding in the car, which are the two times that I crochet. It’s made from a variegated yarn which gives it some color depth without any color changes, except for the white edging around the outer edge.

I like this baby blanket because it demonstrates that even someone with very rudimentary crochet skills (like mine) can make something pretty.

I just finished another baby blanket that I’ll share a bit later. Now I’m in the mood for something really bright and cheerful.

I’m sharing this post at Handmade Monday and The Wednesday Link Party at Oombawkadesigncrochet
